Explore the rich flavors and traditions of Purim and Passover with celebrity chef Paula Shoyer, @kosherbaker! This engaging program invites high school students to create holiday-inspired dishes that connect them to culture, history, and community. From hamantaschen to Passover classics, every recipe is a step toward culinary confidence and festive celebration.
Tentative Menu
March 5 - Purim Class - sweet and savory hamantaschen with different flavored doughs, and striped ones, and an array of fillings so each participant can design their own.
March 19 - Israeli Dinner - chicken shwarma, pita, tahini and salad and maybe order in rice
March 26 - Jewish Baking - babka and black and white cookies
April 2 – Shabbat Dinner - roasted salmon, Ceasar salad, spaghetti with pesto (can do without nuts), scones
