The Nationals invite members of local Jewish organizations, synagogues, and all of Jewish Greater Washington to join them at the ballpark for Jewish Heritage Day. Every ticket sold includes a $5 donation to benefit The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington to meet critical needs locally and around the world, a commemorative item, and a ticket to the watch the Nationals take on the Cubs! $38/ticket You will receive an email from B'nai Israel the week before gameday about how to access your electronic tickets via the MLB Ballpark App (available on iPhone and Android). Tickets are only available in an electronic format via the App, and cannot be distributed in hard copy. Space is limited. Register below.

B’nai Israel’s Gold Kippah Honor Society recognizes students for their proficiency in various prayers. New this year: Pre-b’nai mitzvah students will be “buddied” up with a post-b’nai mitzvah student. Older students will mentor younger students to build stronger tefillah skills while fostering friendships across grades, role modeling, and building an integrated community. Family Minyan includes spirited prayer, an engaging Torah reading, and lively conversation about the weekly Torah portion. There is no better way to prepare your child for their bar or bat mitzvah and build community connections than regular Shabbat attendance. This service is led by clergy and staff, including Rabbi Mitchell Berkowitz and Rabbi Cheryl Stone.

These services are for the post-b’nai mitzvah teens of B’nai Israel. Our teens help to organize the service and lead it, often including tefillah and discussion, with support from staff and clergy.

Designed for the youngest members of our congregational family, Tot Shabbat meets weekly to sing, learn, and pray together with Tot Shabbat leaders, Morah Juliann Goldman and Lily Pollack. Beginning July 1, this service is followed by a Family Kiddush.

Join members of our clergy and others from our congregation to share feelings about the war and reflect on the many ways our lives continue to be impacted. There is no formal presentation or agenda. We want to hear from each other and allow everyone the space to grieve, ask questions, and validate their own sense of belonging within the larger Jewish collective.
