Bagels and Banter: Jewish Perspectives on Reproductive Health with Glenn Northern of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW)
Sunday, January 29, 2023 • 7 Shevat 5783
10:00 AM - 11:00 AMIn June 2022, the Supreme Court’s Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade, leaving the public with many questions. Under what circumstances can a person legally terminate a pregnancy? What is the impact on fertility treatments, stem cell research, contraception access, etc. Members of B’nai Israel also want to understand how Judaism can inform policies and decisions concerning reproductive health.
Speaker Glenn Northern of the NCJW will deliver an overview of reproductive healthcare access in the mid-Atlantic region and the guidance offered by Jewish teachings. A Q & A session will follow his PowerPoint presentation. Do not miss this opportunity to enjoy a nosh and become a more informed and engaged citizen!
