Deadline to Order Matkon Im Zikaron Cooking Kits

Matkon Im Zikaron (A Recipe for Remembrance) commemorates fallen soldiers by cooking their favorite childhood dishes.
This year, B’nai Israel will participate in this emotional project to honor and remember those who have given their lives for the protection of Israel.
All cooking kits include the main ingredients (excluding salt, pepper, and oil), the recipe, and a biography of the fallen soldier, with tips for how to host a Matkon Im Zikaron evening with friends and family. Each kit costs $25 and serves 4 people. All proceeds will be donated to organizations that support lone soldiers serving in the Israel Defense Forces.
- Ohad Shemesh's Vegetable Pasta
Sergeant Major Ohad Shemesh was 27 years old when he fell while on reserve duty during Operation Protective Edge on July 21, 2014. He left behind a newly-wed wife, parents, a brother and a sister.
- Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel's Stuffed Peppers
Kim Levengrond-Yehezkel was 29 years old when she was murdered by a terrorist in the “Alon” factory in the industrial center “Barkan” on October 7, 2018. She went to work and never came back. She left behind a 15 month old son, a husband, parents, and a sister. She loved making this Stuffed Peppers recipe. - Hadar Cohen's Creamy Potatoes
Border policewoman Hadar Cohen was 19 years old when she fell in a battle with terrorists at the Damascus Gate in Jerusalem on February 3, 2016. She left behind her parents, a sister, and a brother. Her favorite dish was Creamy Potatoes with Mushroom Cream Sauce.
