“Classics” Kabbalat Shabbat
Friday, October 15, 2021 • 9 Cheshvan 5782
6:15 PM - 7:00 PMIn-Person and LivestreamJoin us as we celebrate composers such as Israel Goldfarb, Louis Lewandowski, Adolph Katchko, Max Helfman and Salomone Rossi. We will be joined by some of our B'nai Israel family, Naomi Gerstenblith and Amanda Reichenbach Lehman, as we bring the sounds of these magnificent composers to life and elevate our Friday night service to a different place and time that many can recall and relate to.
We will step back in time to listen to the sounds of our musical ancestors and celebrate the music of our people together. Please don't be shy about bringing your children. We expose them to our history as we teach them from the Torah. We suggest that our history can be also told with the sounds of the melodies written in different times and under different circumstances. Music can transform us and take us instantly to moments packed away in our memories in the most powerful way.
We look forward to sharing this unique musical Shabbat with you.
If you are not available to come in-person, you may always tune in via our Shabbat Livestream.
