The 2024 election season is underway, here’s what to expect next. The presidential nominees should be pretty well set, but Maryland voters will go to the polls next week to choose their nominees for the U.S. Senate and House. Here’s a look at what we’ve learned so far and what we can expect to happen during the rest of the election year.
JONATHAN D. SALANT, a co-president of the Men’s Club, is assistant managing editor, politics for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette and member of the Standing Committee of Correspondents, the group of reporters overseeing the congressional press galleries at the U.S. Capitol. A Washington-based reporter for more than three decades, he moderates the Men’s Club’s biennial political forums. He was inducted into the Society of Professional Journalists D.C, pro chapter’s Journalism Hall of Fame in 2023, and has received
numerous reporting awards. He lives in Rockville with his wife Bonnie Cole. Their son Izzy is a graduate of B’nai’s Talmud Torah and Hebrew High School.
