HAZAK: Recent Developments at the Supreme Court with Ian Gershengorn

Former Acting Solicitor General Ian Gershengorn will return to lead us in another lively and informative discussion of the Supreme Court. He will discuss recent developments at the Court, including the continuing debate over ethics, the Court’s use of history, and the overall direction of the Court. He will also discuss high profile cases regarding presidential immunity, elections, administrative law, and the Second Amendment.
Ian Gershengorn is a partner at the law firm of Jenner & Block. He is one of the nation’s premier Supreme Court and appellate advocates, having argued before the U.S. Supreme Court 17 times. Ian attended Harvard College and Harvard
Law School, where he was a member of the Harvard Law Review. After law school he served as a law clerk for two years, including one year as a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice John Paul Stevens.
