12:00 PM - 1:00 PM

Join us for a Lunch and Learn with three members of the KiTov delegation—Israeli leaders and social activists from all walks of life—as they will share more about their life projects and their mission to mend the divisions in Israeli society, which is more polarized than ever.

Ayat Rahal is the director of the Department of Culture and Community at the Ministry of Culture and Sport. Previously, she directed the Department for Employment Diversity at the Civil Service Commission. A graduate of the sixth cohort of the Civil Service Cadet Program, Ayat holds a bachelor's degree in political science, sociology, and anthropology, and a bachelor's degree in public sector and internal auditing from Haifa University. Ayat earned an additional master's degree in government and public policy at the Hebrew University. A native of the village Rumat al-Heib in the lower Galilee, Ayat has lived in Jerusalem for the past few years.

Ziv Lidror has directed the 'Mishpat Rehov' legal center at the Reichman University for the past ten years and has also served as director of the 'Nekudot Zekhut' initiative since 2018. Previously, Ziv served as a legal assistant in the Supreme Court and a facilitator in the realm of Jewish pluralism (in conjunction with Bina - The Jewish Movement for Social Change and Havaya). Ziv studied at the Hebrew University and holds a bachelor's degree and master's degree in law. A native of Kibbutz Orim in the South, Ziv currently lives in Tel Aviv with her husband and two daughters.

Shmuel Yilma is a senior director of community initiatives at the Joint Distribution Committee and the founder of the 'Yerusalem Forum' an initiative that seeks to broaden the Israeli narrative. A social entrepreneur who works to develop social programs that strengthen communal and economic resilience in Israeli society, including youth centers, the 'Mutav Yahdav' initiative, the 'Kehila Meitiva' initiative, and the 'Ir Mekademet Zekhuyot' initiative, Shmuel is also the author of the book 'The Road to Jerusalem' and the editor-in-chief of a series of booklets about innovative communal leadership. Shmuel holds a master's degree in school guidance counseling and is a member of the 'Maoz' network. He lives in Kiryat Gat.

KiTov is a new reflective intellectual leadership program that brings together a cohort of 18 thoughtful and strategic leaders in positions of influence (civil servants, civil society leaders, academics, educators, etc.), who are genuinely representative of the full diversity of Israeli
society, to learn, think, and act together. First and foremost, this group is working to articulate the common good and expand upon what living well together in this country actually means. Throughout the year, the cohort explores the challenges of living together and envisioning a shared future. In addition to the educational content of the program, the program puts its pedagogic emphasis on two important tools: learning from the field, where often solutions are
found that are quite different from theoretical models from above; and the group itself, where
the dynamics of an incredibly diverse group of Israelis committed to one another and the greater
society, becomes a learning laboratory for exploring new directions.
