Pride Shabbat
Friday, June 10, 2022 • 11 Sivan 5782
6:15 PM - 7:00 PMReflecting On How Far We Have Journeyed and How Far We Must Continue
with Guest Speaker Raffi Freedman-Gurspan
B'nai Israel has secured a wonderful and dynamic speaker for a special Pride Shabbat, next week, on June 10. Join us as we affirm and celebrate our commitment to LGBTQ inclusion. We will learn and hear from Raffi Freedman-Gurspan, Deputy Director of Public Engagement at the US Department of Transportation, former Director of External Relations at the National Center for Transgender Equality, and the first openly transgender White House staffer. (She is speaking to our synagogue community in her personal capacity, not on behalf of the Administration.)
Raffi Freedman-Gurspan will speak towards the end of the service, around 6:50 PM. This special event will be followed by an Oneg Shabbat. We look forward to seeing you there! Please register today so that we can plan.
If you are unable to join in person, you can join via Zoom: https://zoom.us/j/788352437 Password: 6301
