Project Zug
Sunday, August 8, 2021 • 30 Av 5781
8:00 PM - 9:00 PMWindows on Teshuvah with Rabbi Shai Held
Teshuvah, often translated as "repentance," is one of the central concepts in Jewish life—throughout the year but especially in preparation for the High Holidays. Through this 4-week course, we will explore what teshuvah actually entails, and how we can demonstrate that we’ve changed.
How does it work? Sign up with your own learning partner - or tell us about yourself and we'll match you with someone new! The cycle will kick off on August 8 and conclude on September 5 with live online lectures with Rabbi Shai Held. In between, participants will meet with their havruta four times, once per week, discussing and conceptualizing core questions around teshuvah. Each session will offer a window into this fundamental question: what does it take for a person to change.
Project Zug empowers Jews to take ownership over their learning through one-on-one havruta learning.
Our Vision
We believe that havruta can change your life. When two Jews connect through our shared tradition, the relationship has the power to cultivate meaning, joy, and belonging. We envision a world in which havruta learning is accessible and available to every Jew in every community.
How does it work?
- We provide high-quality content through curated study sheets and videos on a wide variety of topics
- Participants can register to learn with a particular person of their choice, or let us find them a good match
- Each learning session offers a study sheet with questions, designed to be learned in 30-45 min
- Study can be done online through video chat, or in person
Registration for the Elul Cycle is Now Open! Register below by July 28.
