In honor of Yom HaAtzmaut (Israel’s Independence Day), we will gather to celebrate Shabbat and our unwavering support for Israel. After dinner, we will have the opportunity to hear from Noa Ginosar, Minister-Counselor for Middle East Affairs at the Embassy of Israel to the United States. She will speak about “Israel and the Middle East - Challenges and Opportunities.” This presentation will be an exploration of the evolving geopolitical landscape in the wake of the October 7th attacks, examining how this pivotal, horrific moment has reshaped Israel’s regional dynamics, security priorities, and diplomatic engagement. During the talk Noa will aim to highlight both the deepening complexities and emerging opportunities in the region, as Israel, and the United States navigate the Middle East's shifting realities with resilience and strategic vision.

Noa has served as Minister-Counselor for Middle East Affairs at the Embassy of Israel since August 2023. A career diplomat in Israel's foreign service, Noa was previously the policy advisor to the Director General of the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Political Counselor at Israel’s Mission to the European Union as well as at the Israeli Embassy in Moscow, and the UN desk at the MFA. Noa served as a first lieutenant at the IDF, as an International Military Cooperation officer and a Liaison officer to UNIFIL and UNDOF. Noa grew up in Israel, France, and Brookline, MA, before returning to Israel at the age of 19. She is a graduate of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev with a master’s degree in International Relations and Political Science. She currently lives in Rockville with her husband and three children.
