Monthly Meal Delivery to Interfaith Works Shelters
Each month B'nai Israel provides a meal to the residents of one of the Interfaith Works Shelters. Each month, there is a signup and volunteers sign up to provide some of the items needed for the meal. Items can be either be "home made" or purchased and delivered to one of the various drop off locations. Check under upcoming events for the most current Shelter delivery.

Shabbat, Feb 15th 12:00p to 1:00pOn this Shabbat we express solidarity with the global Jewish movement for refugee protection and welcome, recalling our own history as a people who have often found ourselves to be refugees in foreign lands. Join us for a lunch and learn during the congregational kiddush to learn more.

Sunday, Feb 23rd 6:00p to 7:00pB’nai Israel will be providing dinner for residents of the Interfaith Works Women’s Shelter at Taft Court. We need your help in supplying various parts of the meal.

Sunday, Mar 30th 11:30a to 12:00pB’nai Israel will be providing lunch for residents of the Interfaith Works Women’s Shelter at Taft Court. We need your help in supplying various parts of the meal.
Good Deeds Week: Project Hope Passover Delivery and Shelter Delivery
Sunday, Apr 6th 9:00a to 12:00pHelp us deliver Passover packages to senior residents in the Rockville and Leisure World areas. The program chair will be handing out the packages and names and addresses of recipients in the B’nai Israel parking lot in the morning. In the past, volunteers have delivered 5 to 7 packages. We ask that all deliveries be done before noon that day.
